*The extracts in this formula nutritionally support the health of the prostate gland. Saw palmetto has been used safely for decades to support proper prostate and urinary function. Its primary mode of action involves maintaining healthy testosterone metabolism. Pygeum africanum may maintain healthy prostaglandin and prolactin metabolism in the prostate. Pumpkin seed oil provides essential fatty acids and zinc, important for prostate health. Nettle root, also known as stinging nettles or Urtica dioica, has indicated the ability to support healthy enzyme activity and maintain healthy hormone metabolism in prostate cells. In studies, nettle root maintains human sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) and aromatase activity. It has also been shown to maintain healthy Na+K+-ATP-ase function in prostate cells. Numerous clinical studies involving nettle root have been conducted in Germany. In an open, multi-center study involving 253 men, nettle root maintained healthy SHBG activity. The outcome of a controlled, double-blind study with 72 men suggested that nettle root supported healthy urinary flow. In a multicenter study examining the effect of nettle root extract in over 5,000 individuals, the extract supported prostate health in the majority of subjects. Other studies suggest support for healthy urinary volume, subjective and objective parameters, and well-tolerated long-term supplementation.

Each softgel capsule contains:

saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) extract 160 mg.
(standardized to contain 85% total fatty acids and 0.15% phytosterols)
pumpkin seed (Cucurbita pepo) oil (fresh pressed) 320 mg.
Pygeum africanum extract 20 mg.
(standardized to contain 13% total sterols)
nettle root (Urtica dioica L.) extract (10:1) 200 mg.
(standardized to contain 0.8% beta-sitosterol and 5% amino acids)
other ingredients: gelatin capsule, carob (to darken capsules)

2-4 capsules per day, in divided doses, between meals.
